USF College Reach-Out Program

USF's College Reach-Out Program (CROP) is accepting applications from current 8th-11th grade students for their spring and summer college prep program.  This free program will provide weekday and weekend tutoring sessions at USF, career and educational counseling, college/university tours, leadership development, and exposure to the USF campus. 

Eligible students must meet at least one economic and one academic criteria.  Economic criteria include:

  • Free/reduced lunch eligibility
  • Receives public assistance
  • Orphan or ward of the state

Academic criteria include:

  • First generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree)
  • Low GPA (less than 2.5)
  • Low FSA/EOC scores
  • More than 25 absences
  • Suspended, retained, expelled, or in drop out prevention
